For many years it has been the custom of the denizens of this dump (aka the SCNFLPoolies) to take free shots at Her Royal Highness, Diana Princess of Wails. For as long as this faithful
correspondent has been habituating this site of ill-repute, Diana has been humiliating and emasculating the testosterone-soaked
pretenders to the throne. Indeed, her record is secure and unassailable. Yet at this time I find myself unable
to heap scorn, ridicule, or saliva flecked vitriol upon her highness. I find myself instead bowing deeply as Diana,
Princess of the Pool heeds to voice of the Lord and enters the ministry at the tender age of (ahem....) uh....34.
Secure in her professional life, her employment coveted by all who know her (and yes, it appears other aspects of her
are coveted in vain by more than a few) she doffs the mantle of academic administrative leadership and goes where she is called
to go: A church in southern British Columbia to lead Children's Ministry.
Those who know me are cognizant that blowing the doors off your life with wanton abandonment of logic and reason are
things I admire, and indeed have demonstrated a few times in my own life. Yet to think of someone as talented as Diana
walking away from her professional career as she heads in to the afternoon of her working life leaves me humbled and awed.
It doesn't make sense to us mere mortals. Yet Diana answers to God, and we all know that the wisdom of God is foolishness
to us humans.
Go forth in His will and with His wisdom. You go with the old Doc's love and prayers.
And for God's sake, screw up the fricking pool every now and then.
Love ya girl
P
P.S. Happy Thanksgiving you turkeys in the pool!
